Stopped here for a quick bite and were greeted and served by the loveliest people. Super warm and friendly atmosphere, the latte, wrap, and French toast were delish. They offer gluten and dairy free options on some items. Would recommend trying this place out!

Stopped by for a light lunch. Had the soup and sandwich combo-tomato and grilled cheese, plus the French toast. Everything was delicious! Fresh and home made. Family owned and operated. Mom Betty cooks up comfort food just like home and daughter Lorrie is the consummate host. Don't miss this gem when you visit Picton in Prince Edward County

TL;DR - Family owned restaurant with amazing service and very good food. - Very competitive pricing and the portion size is perfect - Located in the heart of Picton - Street parking available My wife and I wanted to grab breakfast before we headed back home & decided to give The Talking Donkey Bistro a try. We love the logo and walked past it a few times and we are very happy we did. It was quiet and we were greeted as soon as we walked in. We ordered the French toast and the sausage and egg wrap. Everything was made fresh and was very delicious. We love visiting family owned restaurant and the owner and daughter were working which is lovely to see. Next time we're in Picton we will definitely come back to have a nice coffee and breakfast My only feedback to the owners is I hope they can expand their menu to offer more delicious breakfast options. Until next time... 5/5 for us.

We stopped here for a late lunch. The owner was friendly and answered all our questions about the menu. A lot of the food is made in-house. There are many gluten free and vegan options as well. We each ordered a bowl of soup and half a chicken salad sandwich. It was all delicious! The service was friendly and warm. They also do takeout. This was a lovely place. We look forward to going back.

Stopped in for a late lunch and it was fantastic when we visited. The operators were very attentive and hospitable. The food, which during our visit included soups/stews (had the roasted carrot soup), sandwiches (had grilled cheese) and various baked goods, was all homemade and delicious as was the iced coffee. The prices were very reasonable too. Based on the experience, would for sure stop in again.
